Thomas Pittman MD, FAAP

Dr. Pittman earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2018 after completing his undergraduate studies in biology at the College of Charleston. Between college and medical school, he spent two years working as an organic agriculture research assistant with Clemson University, an experience that strengthened his interest in science, research, and community health.

Following medical school, Dr. Pittman completed his pediatrics residency in Dayton, Ohio through a combined military–civilian training program at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in partnership with Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine.

Dr. Pittman joined Advanced Pediatric Associates in March 2026 after serving four years as an active-duty pediatrician in the U.S. Air Force. He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and holds certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).

His professional interests include pediatric mental health management and gastrointestinal conditions. Outside of medicine, Dr. Pittman enjoys cooking—especially Italian cuisine—woodworking, long-distance running, and exploring with his wife, Cammie, and their Goldendoodle, Nova.
