Sometimes it’s hard to know whether your child has a minor illness or something that needs medical attention. Our Is Your Child Sick? online resources can help you determine when home care is appropriate and when your child should be seen by a healthcare provider.


After-Hours Urgent Care Support


Illnesses and injuries don’t always happen during office hours. When our office is closed, our on-call care team is available to help with urgent medical concerns.


For urgent after-hours needs, call our Patient Care Line at 303-699-6200.


Our answering service will gather brief information and connect you with a registered nurse who will return your call promptly. The nurse will assess your child’s symptoms, provide guidance, and consult the on-call provider when appropriate. All after-hours interactions are documented in your child’s medical record to support coordinated care.


After-hours support is reserved for urgent medical issues that cannot safely wait until the next business day. Routine matters — including appointment scheduling, non-urgent medical questions, and general parenting guidance — should be addressed during regular office hours.

Prescription Refill Requests


Our on-call care team does not process routine prescription refill requests after hours.

To request a prescription refill, you may:

  • Submit a request online through MyChart
  • Leave a message on our prescription refill line at 720-870-0244


Prescription refill requests are typically processed within 2 business days.

If you need to fill an existing prescription after hours, several 24-hour pharmacies are available in our community.

If your child needs to be seen after hours we recommend he or she be seen at one of the Children's Hospital Colorado locations.
