Commitment to Diversity
Recent, and past, demonstrations of violence, racism, and inequality in America provide fresh evidence that we have a long way to go on the road to equality. Advanced Pediatrics stands against unequal treatment based on differences and advocates for diversity in our practice, communities, and our country.
We embrace and encourage differences in age, color, disability, ethnicity, family, or marital status, gender identity or expression, language, national origin, physical and mental ability, political affiliation, race, religion, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, veteran status, and other characteristics that make each person unique.
Advanced Pediatric’s diversity initiatives include but are not limited to:
- Respectful communication and cooperation
- Teamwork and participation, permitting the representation of all groups and perspectives
- Contributions to the communities we serve to promote a greater understanding and respect for the diversity
We believe we have a responsibility to treat patients, their families, and our team members with dignity and respect at all times and exhibit conduct that reflects inclusion.
The Advanced Pediatrics team has compiled a list of resources and we encourage you to read, educate yourself and your family, and share resources like these with others. There's much work to do. It's time to make real progress. We hope you'll join us.
