Stephanie S. Stevens MD, FAAP

Dr. Stephanie Stevens graduated from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 1999, completing her pediatric residency at Children's Hospital Colorado, where she was Chief Resident. Dr. Stevens received the "Golden Apple Teaching Award" and the "Bruce Garber Award" as the most outstanding senior resident during her residency. As a resident, she founded the Healthy Beginnings Medical Clinic to provide health care for children of low-income, single-parent families.


Dr. Stevens joined Advanced Pediatrics in 2003, becoming a partner in 2005. In 2016, she was awarded the "Career Teaching Scholar Award" from the Department of Pediatrics at CU Medical School for her outstanding contributions to pediatric education. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics for the University of Colorado School of Medicine, a member of the Medical Board at Children's Hospital Colorado, president-elect of the Board of the Pediatric Care Network, a member of the Clinical Faculty Affairs Committee and the steering committee for the Practice-Based Research Network at Children's Hospital Colorado, past-president of the medical staff at AdventHealth Parker, and Director of the Healthy Beginnings Medical Clinic for Warren Village. In addition, she knows sign language for the deaf and has a master's degree in physical therapy.


Her interests in pediatrics focus on sports medicine, child development, asthma, and complex medical issues. She has completed several Ironman triathlons and also enjoys skiing and hiking. She loves to spend time with her family, especially her sons who seem to have mostly grown up.
