Dr. Starr Wedemeyer earned her medical degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver in 2004, after completing her undergraduate studies in molecular, cellular, and developmental biology and psychology at the University of Colorado Boulder. She completed her pediatric residency at the University of California, Sacramento.

Dr. Wedemeyer is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and has a special interest in child development and ADHD. Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her daughters and dogs.
