Dr. Briese graduated from medical school at the University of Minnesota and completed his pediatric residency training at the University of Missouri. Prior to medical school, he earned undergraduate degrees in both Biology and Secondary Education from the University of North Dakota. His degree in education prepared him to teach high school chemistry, which helped guide his path to pediatrics.

His interests in pediatrics and medicine include adolescent medicine, inclusive care, patient education, and medical education. Outside of medicine, Dr. Briese enjoys baking, playing recreational sports, and woodworking, as well as exploring outdoor activities around the Denver area and supporting Minnesota sports.
