Nutrition Tip for Spring - More Fruits and Vegetables!
Wednesday, April 20, 2011 -
According to a recent study by the Produce for Better Health Foundation, children and adults are still not eating nearly enough fruits and vegetables, despite years of promotion by nutrition and health experts. In fact, on average, children 6 to 12 years of age consume less than 1 1/2 cups of fruit and vegetable per day — significantly below the recommended 2 1/2 to 4 1/2 cups daily. See our Spring Newsletter for tips on how to increase your family's consumption of fruits and vegetables.
