No OTC Cough & Cold Medicines for Children Under 4 Years of Age!
Sunday, January 01, 2006 -
Federal health advisors now say cold and cough medicines do not work for younger children (and can actually be harmful when given improperly or in combination with other medications), and recommend that they not be used for children under the age of 4. For children under 4 with cold symptoms we recommend using saline nasal drops and a cool mist humidifier to reduce congestion. Please call our nurse advice line for more information.
