New Car Seat Laws
Monday, October 11, 2010 -
As of August 1, 2010, Colorado's Child Passenger Safety Law requires ALL children ages 4 - 7 to ride in a booster seat unless they are small enough to remain in a front-facing car seat (usually less than 40 lbs) or large enough to exceed the upper height or weight limits of booster seats (usually over 4'9" and 80 lbs). For more information on mandatory restraint requirements by age see our fall issue of Hand in Hand News.
